Farm To Table

In a new series, Farm To Table, Rome is headed to local farms to see how your favorite ingredients are made. In episode one you learn the difference between cage-free and pasture-raised eggs. Rome meets over 600 chickens and learns how an organic farm runs its daily operations. After Rome plays in the pasture with the chickens and collects eggs, he learns how to clean and package them and take the eggs home to make a beautiful frittata. Each episode dives into an ingredient (wine! cheese! cranberries!) and how the farmers harvest their produce. After learning how it’s cultivated, Rome takes viewers back to his home kitchen to make an inventive recipe that highlights the ingredient.

As more and more people are curious about where their food comes from while also expressing high concerns about sustainability, this show tackles both of these interests in an approachable, comforting manner.
